Current area of focus is around the battery performance plots. We are adding support for some of the new fields that were added (internal resistance and the like). This has proven to be quite the pain in the butt, honestly, as we have had to significantly re-factor a bunch of the code.

I think we are finally out of re-factoring hell and can get on with finishing up the implementation. From there, the finish line to the release should start to appear on the horizon. Wh00t!

With the new year, it is time to start thinking about what to do for the next release. Real life continues to be busy but I am hoping to squeeze some time in to get a few new features in this quarter. Right now, I am going through feature requests and my “to do” list to build an initial list of target features for the next release.

I have had a number of really good suggestions from RCLogbook users, so keep the ideas coming.

The other big decision is whether this release will be the one that breaks ties with iOS 3 and requires iOS 4 or later. One of the more interesting potential features will need to use some frameworks that are not available in iOS 3 in order to be done the “right” way.

The holidays made a mess of things this year.

You will be happy to know that 3.7 is in the App Store approval process and should hit the store shortly. For those who have looked at the RCLogbook page, you will see that the documentation and content there has already been updated for 3.7. Any day now.

Things drug out a little longer than expected due to a hectic holiday season. I was hoping to get RCLogbook submitted, got distracted, and then, by the time I got back on track, the App Store developer portal was down for ~2-ish weeks of maintenance. So, I had to wait until right before New Year’s to submit.

But submitted it is. Finally.

In the meantime, if you are still using iOS 3 on your device, you should not update RCLogbook until 3.5.1 is available.
